The Projects tab is your landing page when you log into the Jaxon Platform. A Project is a workspace designated to a particular task, which is defined within the Project. The Project Dashboard displays the number of datasets and ensembles attributed to each Project as well as the creation date/time and whether the Specification is locked or not.

How to Create a Project

  1. From the Projects tab, select + ****

  2. Fill out the intake form and select  Submit

Once a new Project has been created, you can change the Project Name and/or Project Description if desired in the respective text fields above the list of Projects. Make sure the correct Project is selected before changing the name.

After selecting the new Project, the Datasets and Specification tabs will become available.

How to Delete a Project

Once a project has been created, it can then be deleted. Project deletion cannot be undone.

  1. Select the Project you wish to delete. Certain browsers can be glitchy with this, so please double check!

  1. Select the Delete Project icon

  1. Click OK on the box that pops up if you really want to delete the project and all artifacts contained therein. We cannot stress enough that this action cannot be undone.

How to Archive a Project

Depending on the instance of Jaxon, there are a limited number of Project slots available. Archiving a Project allows a user to free up an active Project slot without permanently deleting the Project. While archived, a Project cannot be edited, but it can be un-archived at a later date.

  1. Select the Project you wish to archive.

  1. An archived Project is indicated with the same symbol as the Archive Project icon.

  1. To reinstate an archived Project, click on the archived project icon next to the Project name.
